Renting the whole house
The Main House is rented in two ways: by the month, from October to May, or on a longer agreement of three to twelve months. Either way it is the whole house, out in the countryside, thirteen minutes from Abrantes and an hour and a half from Lisbon.
By the month, October to May
For up to six people, with water, electricity and internet already included in the rent. No bills to settle at the end of the month. Tell us the dates you need and we will come back with a proposal.

For three, six, nine or twelve months
For people who work remotely and want a base in the countryside, and for companies that need to house a team for a season, the house is also rented on longer agreements.
The rate and the terms depend on the length and are agreed case by case. Tell us how many months you need and from when.
The internet is good enough to work
Wi-Fi is included in the rent. We measured at least 20 Mbps download at peak time, in the early evening, which is comfortably enough for video calls and for working every day: a video meeting uses 2 to 4 Mbps. It is usually faster, but we would rather quote the lowest figure we measured.
Speed varies with the room and the time of day. If your work depends on the internet, tell us before signing: we will confirm the speed in the room you will be working from.
The house is soundproofed and sits out in the countryside. Quiet is the one thing there is plenty of.
How it works
Renting by the month is not the same as a holiday stay: there is a rental agreement, and the length is agreed with you, according to how long you need.
Tell us from which month you need the house and for how long, and we will come back with the right terms for your case.
And in summer?
When it is not rented by the month, the house is let by the night all year round — with a six-night minimum in summer, and subject to availability the rest of the year. In summer, the Small House opens for couples. If you are after a short stay, start from the main page.
